The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning, development and management of the online presence for PeoplePlus including websites, intranet, social media channels and e-mail marketing. The primary function of the role is to set the direction and lead on the development of digital comms and marketing to successfully promote our Skills Business and help us communicate more effectively with our key audiences, deliver operational efficiencies and improve performance. Digital innovation and growth is key to help the business improve performance and achieve growth.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Work with the Skills Director to develop and implement a digital marketing strategy that will successfully promote and grow the Skills business.
  • Design, build and grow a strong one line and social media presence
  • Produce compelling case studies, stories and posts that can be used across multiple channels to illustrate our work
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimise user experience
  • Utilise strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Instrument conversion points and optimise user funnels
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Development and management of targeted social media campaigns to support the business with key performance objectives
  • Become an expert in our service offering – building strong relationships internally and externally to gain an in-depth understanding of where the challenges and opportunities are and how digital activity can support performance
  • Ensure alignment of digital activity across marketing, external comms, and internal comms to promote an integrated and joined up marketing and comms approach to the business
  • Quality assurance across all digital channels to ensure consistent messaging and representation
  • Manage the design, development , maintenance and suppliers of PeoplePlus websites, intranet and social media channels, with a view to growing and enhancing the value of these channels to the business and our key audiences
  • First point of contact for all digital communications matters and is the super-user of the content management system.
  • Support with ad-hoc marketing projects and administration when requested

What You Will Need To Have
  • Experience of working in the digital sphere and developing a corporate online presence, channels and reputation
  • Experience of working with a range of CMS solutions
  • Demonstrable experience of writing for the web in a multi target market environment
  • Experienced in multi-channel publishing, especially social and mobile
  • Deep knowledge and insight about audience and markets
  • Understanding of the impact of technology and business trends on the local ecosystem and effective use of marketing
  • Understanding of content management systems and processes
  • Ability to transform creative ideas into a practical reality, whilst continually seeking opportunities to raise the profile of the brand.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced marketing department
  • Experience managing website builds from start to finish
  • Experience of SEO optimisation of copy
  • Self-motivated with ability to adapt a flexible approach to changing priorities
